In May 2006, Southern Arizona Community Academy became the first (and the only high school) Microsoft IT Academy in Arizona!
IT Academy Benefits for Students
- Students learn basic technology skills, which enables students with real-world abilities needed for career success.
- Students will also have the foundation to be successful in environments such as college that require not only a foundation but a proficient use of technology.
- Students will have the opportunity to earn certifications from Microsoft that will distinguish them from other candidates.
- Students will also gain the confidence needed to learn new technologies.
- Students will have the opportunity to discover technology career choices.
- The Microsoft IT Academy program helps students during their early information technology (IT) experience and offers a life-long learning model of continuous improvement and career development.
In addition to being a Microsoft IT Academy, SACA is a Certiport Testing Center, which allows students to become Microsoft Certified right here at SACA. SACA also pays for the student's certification exams!
