Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel 2007 (0.5 credit) - *certification available*. This eLearning course is an introduction to the features of Excel 2007. Students will be able to create and manupulate data, format data and content, create and modify formulas, create and format charts and illustrations, apply conditional formatting, present data visually, and manage calloborating and securing data. This course prepares students for Exam 70-602 Using Microsoft Office Excel 2007.

Computer Applications: Microsoft Outlook 2007 (0.5 credit) - *certification available*. This eLearning course is an introduction to the features of Outlook 2007. Students will be able to manage messaging, scheduling, tasks, contacts, personal contact information as well as organize information. This course prepares students for Exam 70-604 Using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

Computer Applications: Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (0.5 credit) - *certification available*. This eLearning course is an introduction to the features of PowerPoint 2007. Students will be able to create and format presentations; create and format slide content; create and modify SmartArt diagrams; insert and modify illustrations, shaps, charts, and tables; and manage collaboration and presentation delivery. This course prepares students for Exam 70-603 Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007.

Computer Applications: Microsoft Word 2007 (0.5 credit) - *certification available*. This eLearning course is an introduction to using the features of Word 2007. Students will be able to create and customize documents. format content, insert and format illustrations and text, structure conent by using Quick Parts, create and modify tables and lists, review documents, and manage sharing and securing content. This course prepares students for Exam 70-601: Using Microsoft Office Word 2007.

Computer Applications: Windows Vista for the Business Worker (A & B) (1.0 credit) - *certification available*. This eLearning course is an introduction to the features of Windows Vista. Students will be able to manage Windows Firewall, malware, power settings, network connections, remote access, software, disks, devices and drivers, display settings, Windows Explorer settings, files and folders, and Windows sidebar. Students will configure Windows Update setting, local user accounts, and multiple monitors; protect, optimize, and troubleshoot a computer; and collaborate with other people. This course prepares students for Exam 70-600 Windows Vista for the Business Worker.

Computer Concepts (A & B) (1 credit). This course is designed to give students an overview of the basic hardware and software associated with computers. Students will be able to understand and identify computer hardware; operate software including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software; and use the Internet.

Introduction to Multimedia (A & B) (1 credit). This course will give students an introduction to basic A/V production using common equipment such as digital cameras, digital video recorders, and microphones. Students will be able create audio-visual presentations including commercials and short-films.

Introduction to Networks and Networking (A & B) (1 credit). This course will introduce students to networking basics. Students will be able to understand the principles of networking, system architecture, modes of transmission, networking hardware, local area and wide networks, and the Internet. Students will also be able to plan and design a network, recognize the value of installing upgrades, and will be able to troubleshoot network problems.

Introduction to Programming using JAVA (A & B) (1 credit). This course is an overview of basic object-oriented programming using JAVA. Students will be able to write simple JAVA programs; understand classes, program structure, methods, arrays, collection, data processing, exceptions, file parsing, recursion, sorting, and loops. Students will learn basic programming logic, program documentation, and troubleshooting.

Introduction to Technology (A & B) (1 credit). This course is a hands-on course designed to introduce students to technology and the role it plays in society. The course will provide students with a technological literacy background that will enable them to make informed choices about technology.

Introduction to Webpage Design with FrontPage (A & B) (1 credit). This course is an introduction to web basics and webpage design. Students will be able to evaluate existing websites, use HTML coding to enhance webpages, design a webpage with functionality and multimedia, and understand the basics of publishing a webpage to the Internet.

Print Graphics (0.5 credit). This course is an introduction to graphics creation for use in print and electronic media. Students will be able to create original layered graphics from digital images; modify images using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; create flyers and brochures; and manipulate existing graphics.
